*grumble*

The past couple of days have been pretty annoying. Maybe it's the change in the weather, but otherwise, I'm feeling pretty lively.

For instance, last night at around 3:30 am, someone was sitting outside of our apartment honking their horn until 4:00 am. I wish I had been able to muster up the energy to call the cops, but I couldn't. Where do people draw the line at personal convenience and common curtousy? That brings me to my next object of bitching, my upstairs neighbord. He's been here for about a year and a half, and things for the most part have been good. But, as of late, he or his girlfriend have been blaring their music until around 12:00 am. Now, normally I wouldn't bitch, but I go to bed about this time. On top of their blaring bassy music, they're stomping around. I don't know if they're pissed off or what, but they're making it quite difficult to even relax in any room in our apartment. I tried to take a relaxing bath last night, but between the music, their stomping, and slamming things around, it was pointless. Adam's going to drop a note in their mailbox. We've asked them to at least keep the bass down on their stereos, and that worked for about 6 months. Now, when I have to turn my TV over halfway to even attempt to drown out their music, there's an issue. I'd love to just ask my landlord to make mention of it, but since he didn't even acknowledge my bicycle theft, I'd rather not bother.

I won't bitch about the kids next door because that's an automatic given that I can't stand them.

This morning as I typed this, a car drove by. Bass booming, car speeding. My pen and lighter actually fell off my desk from the vibration. I mean, this isn't a main street. It's brick and about 1 lane wide. Good gravy people.

I damn near froze my ass off at school. While, yes, I am aware it gets about 30 degrees colder in the Midwest in a few months, it was 85 late last week. I forgot to bring a hoodie, and sitting in the shade was even colder. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

=\

Adam's Mom is back in the hospital. I guess Lori took her in for her radiation this afternoon, and she (her mom) was having trouble breathing. So, they had her doing some breathing treaments and admitted her to this hospital this evening. Adam and I will be there tomorrow afternoon after I'm done with class. I'm just thankful I don't have much homework or tests to have done tomorrow. I missed my sociology quiz on Tuesday because I broke out in a fever, and I could barely get out of the bathtub. I feel kind of left in the dark about some of this sometimes.

blah

I'm sick. I've got that cold/flu thing. Lucky me. I've been hiding in the bedroom with my gameboy for a majority of the day. Of course, when I come into the living room, the guy upstairs has been stomping around for the past two hours and blaring his music. My head can't take it much longer. :(

Today

Well, I successfully got the DSL running along with the router, I think. I haven't tried my ibook or Adam's powerbook yet, though. It is, however, working through my PC through the router, so I can only suspect that the wi-fi is working as well.

My migraines/headaches were getting a lot better until last night. Stressing out about the modem seemed to bring a bad headache on, but I was determined to get it working. I mean, it's not frigging rocket science!

So, I'm debating on loading my car full of all of the laundry that we need to do. This is pretty much all of our clothes, bedding, and I'd like to wash my pillows, too. After last month when I did laundry alone, I'm a little leary of going by myself. I lost an entire load of laundry which included most of the everyday clothes both Adam and I wear along with some new clothes that I had bought. I'll admit it, I'm dingy, but this took the cake. I still feel really bad about it. I'm almost scared to do laundry alone in fear that I'll leave it there. I think I got distracted by having a friend showing up there and having a ridiculously busy day ahead of me. Maybe I can coax my Mom into calling me to make sure I've checked the machines.

I have a sociology quiz to study for before tomorrow. It's no big deal since it's only half of the chapter. I could at least take it along with me to do laundry. I'm also contemplating going to the laundrymat on Audubon instead of the one on Shadeland. It's only 3 blocks from here, but I don't know what their prices are, and the Laundry & Tan Connection on Shadeland has $1 top loads before 3 pm. Though, I'd really rather support an Irvington run business. DECISIONS DECISIONS!

I definitely will have to put the blankets, sheets, and pillows in a trash bag since I only have two laundry baskets. I'm beginning to wonder if my clothes will even fit in there.

DSL

Well, Adam and I decided to get DSL and cancel the cable we've had. Reason being, he's not working from home as much, and the DSL is only $15 vs. the $45 we're paying. I've got the DSL working fine hooked directly to my PC. However, I can't get my router to release the IP address from the cable. So, lets hope that by leaving it unplugged for a while, it'll work. Lucky for Adam he conveniently passed out, and he's been too sick to help out. I'll be damned if I end up paying $200 for internet service + installation + cancellation this month because of this. All in all, I'm pretty pissed right now.

WOOT!

I thought I was on an endless quest trying to find pictures of Adam and I at the Yel parties in Detroit. I started digging around the Yel2 party from 2004 with Speedy J & Chris Liebing, and low and behold, I found one!

Uh, what?

I was sitting on the floor fixing the blinds on our French doors. Madison runs right up to me. So, I'm thinking, "Awe! She loves her Mommy!" Yeah, a little too much. Madison started humping my leg. I think the last time I had a dog hump my leg was when I had my black German Shepard. Mind you, he passed when I was 18, I'm 24 now. I feel..so...violated.
