Try adding vinegar to the wash cycle, and cheap hair conditioner to the rinse cycle. It helps. Sadly, acrylic yarn is plastic, so there's not a whole lot you can do for it. (It's Laynie, by the way.)
I bought a skein of Red Heart Super Saver to make some hand warmers with. I probably should have used a bigger gague needle, but I'm using 6s. I fell in love with the color, so, of course, I had to have it.
I usually stick with Caron since it is softer, but unfortunately, the JoAnn's down the street from me doesn't have the greatest selection of yarn.
Laynie,
I've heard about using vinegar in washes, but my concern was, does it make the clothing smell like vinegar afterward? Dumb question, I know, but since I've never tried it, I don't want to walk around smelling like a salad. ;)
