Weekend, YAY!

Well, I finished both of my papers that were due yesterday. I did forget to print out my works cited page for my W131 class. My instructor was less than thrilled and decided that lecturing me about it was necessary. Hey, mistakes happen. Get over it. It's not like I've ever turned anything in late to her class. Not to mention I can't stand most of the kids in my class. I feel so old compared to them.

I've got a fair bit of studying to do this weekend. My political science midterm is on Tuesday. His idea of a study guide is, well, not a study guide. It's a piece of paper that tells us how many questions there will be in each section. Maybe I've been spoiled, but I thought study guides were, you know, to help you study the appropriate material. I can't help but to think this exam is going to go badly, and I know I'm not the only one in the class that feels this way. We have two tests (midterm and final) and our research paper. The midterm covers 9 chapters. Yeah, wish me luck on that one.

I have a lot of other things to do this weekend but mainly today. I'd like to go to the antique place on Michigan tonight? or tomorrow to look at a new chair for the living room. We've decided the papasan is just a chair that screams out "HEY THROW STUFF IN ME!" Not to mention, it's not very condusive to sitting in.

I'd also like to go to Goodwill today and pick up a few pairs of cords and some t-shirts. Sitting in my classes makes me think that I'm completely underdressed for school. That's never been a problem for me, but I feel like people are avoiding me because of it. Plus, winter is coming, and I didn't lose the weight I had hoped to. I've come to the fact that it will come of slow, but I don't consider myself a large person.

To add to my things to do this weekend, I need to clean. I've already started moving things back to the storage room that have been sitting here for over a month. Adam and I both have been completely busy lately, and we've let things go a little too far.

Our laundry really needs to be done too. I'd like to be able to keep it down to doing it once every two weeks so I'm not at the laundry mat for 4 hours once a month. I've always taken it upon myself to wash at least the underwear and socks in the sink. But, there's nothing quite like dryer fluffed socks. Le sigh.

Mid-day tomorrow, I'll be running a dog transport. Initially, I was going to do Indianapolis to Richmond, but nobody seemed to be wanting to fill the Ohio legs. So, I told the coordinator I would not only do Indy to Richmond, but I would also do Richmond to Springfield, OH. I wish Adam could come. Maybe he can since his Mom isn't at home now.

I've also got to blanche some more tomatoes. I was hoping to be able to freeze them and do them another weekend, but we went grocery shopping and our freezer is busting at the seams. I tell Adam every time we do that kind of shopping, I must display my superior Tetris skills to make everything fit in the freezer.

My list for this weekend:

  • clean

  • study political science

  • put new tags on my car

  • go to goodwill

  • blanche and can tomatoes

  • get my oil changed on Monday

  • laundry?

  • shop for new living room chair?

  • transport Louie and Hope

  • At least this weekend, I won't be sitting in front of books the entire time.
