Feeeshies
It's really a shock how gravel can change a fish tank. We had black gravel in our 10 gallon tank, and I got sick of it. I asked a friend what the best way to change the gravel in a goldfish tank was, and she happily helped me. She also gave us a 22 gallon tank when Adam played a gig in St. Louis last year. Unfortunately, it's too big for apartment right now, but we've decided to save it for when we move out.
So, I changed the gravel and put in some white gravel, and I added in some new fake plants. I prefer the bright colored plants, and the color of the plants and the white gravel look nice.
I'll try to take pics when the tank settles. Speedy J didn't seem too happy about being in a cola cup for a few minutes.

Oh cool! I didn't know you guys liked fishies too :) I love aquariums...
yea, the gravel change makes a huge difference! Ryan and I strated with white gravel, but recently changed it to natural river rocks. I love the way it looks now, but we had made a mistake changing the gravel (all at once) instead of increments, so it whacked out the aquariums chemical balance, and we killed 2 of our fishies :( bummer... the tank is in good shape now though!
post pics - I'd love to see!
