Louisiana Humane Society needs supplies, not money. This is not contrary to the Looziana Basset Rescue!
I just received this e-mail. If anybody has any donations of the type listed, please let me know. I will take them, in your name, to the Waddle this Saturday. This is not contrary to the Looziana Basset Rescue needing donations! The Looziana Basset Rescue is a separate entity on it's own that fosters pets. Those pets need money since they are not going to a larger organization!
Dear Codi & Adam,
Here's another chance for Guardian Angel to help the
animals affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Pet Supplies Needed For Louisiana Humane Society
In the New Orleans area alone, there are thousands
of homeless pets that have been separated from
their owners through no fault of their own. The
owners, themselves in temporary shelters, are
counting on the generosity of others to sustain their
pets until they and their animals can be reunited.
One of our supporters, Collette Walker, asked me if
she could have a van available at The Waddle to
collect supplies for the Louisiana Humane Society.
She then informed me that she would be driving them
down to Louisiana in the near future. Of course I
said "Yes - let's do it"!

We are still taking donations for the GABR Rescue which will make a large contribution to the Looziana Basset Rescue. If you would still like to donate, please do. You have until Saturday to do so. If you do not have a credit card, but would like to donated, please contact me at codirocksout at gmail dot com and we can arrange a payment via paypal, or I can come pick it up. I do, however, have class tomorrow, but am open the rest of the time between then and Saturday (tonight included). Well, minus meeting up with Sarah at Lazy Daze. :)
Also, if you would like to make one of the above donations, e-mail me at the address above, as well. I have contacted the head of GABR to see if the items can be used or need to be brand new!
More information about the Waddle can be found here.
Also, please feel free to pass this along!
